Payment by credit card

You pay for online counseling by credit card using PayPal. Since payments are made directly to PayPal, Gay Men's Counseling never sees nor receives a record of your confidential credit card data.

PayPal is the global standard for online payments, with over 100 million registered users worldwide. PayPal uses the world's most advanced security technology.

When you pay via PayPal, your confidential information is automatically encrypted in transit from your computer using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). Before you can even register or log into PayPal's site, its server checks that you are using an approved browser—one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher. (All contemporary browsers meet or exceed this standard.)

Once your information reaches PayPal, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. PayPal's servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the Internet, so your private information is available only to authorized computers.
