Face-to-face counseling

For face-to-face appointments in our Vancouver office, we charge C$110 for a 50-minute individual counseling session and, for couples, C$120 for 50 minutes and C$190 for 90 minutes, all including GST. Fees are based on the Recommended Fee Schedule of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counselors (bcacc).

In most cases, professional counseling fees are tax deductible. You may also be eligible for reimbursement from your Employee Assistance Plan. Clients pay us directly and, if applicable, may claim repayment from their plan. Please check with your plan administrator to determine if, and the amount for which, the services of a Registered Clinical Counselor will be reimbursed.

Online counseling

Gay Men's Counseling offers six online counseling packages accessible world-wide by computer or telephone. For details, please see our Online Counseling section.

Payment for online counseling is collected by credit card in advance through the PayPal online payment system.

Fees for online counseling are as follows:

One 50-minute counseling session via instant text messaging system: US$110.

One 50-minute counseling session via Skype free Internet phone service: US$110 (clients are responsible for installing Skype software and setting up microphones/cameras on their computers).

One 50-minute counseling session via telephone: US$110 (clients are responsible for long distance charges).

Two detailed professional email consultations: US$190.

One detailed professional email consultation: US$110.

One brief professional email consultation: US$59.
